Queensland kitchen designer wins top award
04-Nov-2011 Brisbane design group shows that the proof is in the kitchen that makes the pudding. Sublime Cabinet Design has been awarded 2011 HIA Queensland Kitchen Project and Kitchen Design of the Year for the same project at the HIA- CSR Queensland Region and Kitchen and Bathroom Awards. Regional finalists from Toowoomba, Gold Coast/Northern Rivers and the Sunshine Coast/Wide Bay areas came together to hear the winners announced at a gala dinner on the 27th October at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Kitchen design category recognises excellence in design of a renovated or new residential project. Entries are judged first and foremost on the design, innovation and flair demonstrated by the designer. The Kitchen of the Year award recognises quality of workmanship of the project then the design, manufacture and installation of a complete single residential project.
As Queensland winners, Sublime Cabinet Design will now go onto compete for the National title of 2012 HIA Australian Kitchen Project and Design of the Year, which will be announced in May 2012. It is the second year running that the Brisbane design company has been awarded both Queensland Kitchen design and project awards.
Principal Designer, Kim Duffin was also recently been awarded the 2011 Kitchen and Bathroom Design Institute’s Australian Kitchen Designer of the Year award in July 2011.
The prize includes a trip to Italy in April 2012 to visit European appliance designer SMEG’s head office as well as attend ‘Eurocucina’, Europe’s largest interior design fair that is held in Milan every two years.
Being awarded such titles reflects on Sublime Cabinet Designs commitment to providing customers with a truly personalised service, innovative ideas and kitchens, which inspire through the use of quality Manufacturing techniques.
